This year, makeup trends dominated the bridal world. From dramatic contouring, to perfect eyebrows, makeup has definitely seen another amazing year. One of our favorite trends this year is the return of the smoky eye. Whether it is a natural look for the bridal shower, or a more noteworthy look for the bachelorette party- the brand new Naked Smoky Palette has you covered. From toned down matte hues to the glamorous shimmery tones, this palette has left us up in flames!
As the fourth eyeshadow palette to launch within the sought-after Naked collection, the Naked Smoky has everybody talking. The palette consists of six warm tones and six cool tones, which serves as the perfect equilibrium to match any skin color. The palette features nine brand-new shades, and three shades that were re-introduced from previous palettes, yet it still remains cohesive to its three sister palettes. Below, you can read about our six favorite shades for before, during, and after your big day!
High
This color serves as one of our favorite colors to accentuate the brow bone. It is a light, champagne beige color with subtle shimmery undertones to complement the overall shape and structure of the eye. We love to use colors like this to lighten up a smoky eye!
Radar
We absolutely love a warm, yet light brown to bring romance to any look! This shade has a warm, golden undertone to bring out the lid, amping up a smoky eye for the more glamorous bride. This look was featured in the earlier Vice 2 palette, but its return is less glittery than the original, which makes for a more subtle look.
Slanted
For the more edgy bride, we definitely suggest “Slanted” as a base shade! The muted, yet slightly shimmery gray serves as an amazing color to top off a cooler smoky eye. However, the texture is slightly powdery and can fade quickly, so make sure to load up on the eyeshadow primer! (x)
Black Market
Black remains a traditional color in each and every Naked Palette! This color, however is the first one with a satin finish. We love this color particularly because of its versatility! You can use it in the crease to create a dramatic smoky eye, in the corner to emphasize the size and shape of the eye, or you can use it to line the top and bottom lash lines to play up the volume of your lashes! This is a veteran color as well, originally appearing in the first Vice palette.

Taupe has always been favored by the more natural bride, and this one is sure to become a cult-classic! The combination of gray and brown tones with the matte finish serves as the perfect shade for a more conservative bride. We found this color to blend incredibly well, and it definitely pairs well with its neighboring color “Smolder”.
Combust
This soft pink pigment serves as a gorgeous color that stands out among the rest of the palette. Its light pink shade mixes well with the subtle, yet cool beige undertones. We find that this color blends with ease, and stays on the lid for a good amount of time! We suggest pairing it with “Thirteen” and “Whiskey” for a gorgeous bridal shower or honeymoon look.
Overall, we definitely give the Naked Smoky Palette our approval! It is guaranteed to become a staple in makeup kits all around the world! The smoky eye is a trend that brings out color, and softens one’s appearance, and we totally can’t get enough! We hope that nobody put this flame out anytime soon.
