Check out this amazing Alice in Wonderland wedding that was shot by Faces Photography! Scott just couldn’t wait to propose to his bride-to-be, Tara, and we can totally see why! They have a love like no other, so they had a ceremony like no other. The memorable ceremony took place surrounded by beautiful mountains and a thick blanket of sunshine. The ceremony looked like it came straight out of the movie itself, with a mad hatter cake and colorful flowers.
How we got engaged from the Bride:
The weekend before…
Scott had bought the ring about a week previously and he told his family that he was going to wait until May when we went to Mexico to propose. If you know Scott, you know that would NEVER happen! He can’t wait for things like that and is SOO BAD with surprises!
He was acting so silly all weekend…rubbing my wedding finger…talking about wedding ring designer “Neil Lane” and how he designed the rings for “The Bachelor”… so I kind of had a feeling. It’s funny actually because he called me from home acting like he had just bought something HUGE like a new couch, TV, or car! I came home expecting to see something brand new in our living room or in our garage… but NOTHING!
I always told Scott that I didn’t want to know. I am the type of girl that doesn’t want to know when he would propose, and I definitely didn’t want to go ring shopping. I am such a romantic so I always thought that would take the romance out of it! We figured out early on that we wanted to be together forever and talked about our future often but it was still such a huge surprise!
The day of…
Scott told my boss at work to let me get off early so he could take me to dinner. I was a sales coach for the Satellite division at CLEARLINK and was working nights. While I was at work Scott sent me a text message that read, “Meet me at Fleming’s at 7:00”. I tried to call him to ask him why we were going to Fleming’s and he wouldn’t answer! Fleming’s is fine dining restaurant in SLC and is the place he and I went on our first date! 🙂
When I got to the restaurant, the hostess took me back to my table where Scott was waiting. He had decorated the table with a huge bouquet of red roses, had sprinkled rose petals on the table, had some sparkling cider, and a stereo that was playing “Marry Me” by Train.
He immediately got down on one knee….and asked me to marry him! Our server was taking pictures of the entire thing so we luckily have it on camera! He is sooo romantic and planned the most beautiful proposal….I am soooo lucky!
…P.S….I said “Yes” 🙂
