Almost every little girl dreams of being a princess. Samantha Ong Photography paints a beautiful homage to the classic fairytale, Beauty and the Beast in this romantic styled shoot and reminds us that dreams really can come true.
A tale as old as time, Beauty and the Beast is certainly having it’s moment right now. With a new feature film out in the cinema starring the lovely Emma Watson, this styled shoot couldn’t be more on point. From teapots to candlesticks and all the red roses in between, the emphasis on detail is what makes this shoot truly magical.
From Samantha Ong Photography:
We wanted to create a romantic fairytale shoot based on the live action movie Beauty and the Beast. Traditional and classic elements were used along with pairing it with contemporary artistic elements for the dessert table. We wanted to provide inspiration to brides that you can still have your fairytale wedding in this modern day in age!
The Werribee Mansion in Melbourne was picked because of it’s historical architecture which created that magical fairytale vibe. We decided to create a very unique kind of dessert table to provide brides with inspiration in that you can do something completely different and really be a show stopper at the wedding! Taking the elements from the movie such as the teapots, the candelabras, the roses, the clock, the books, etc we created a magical table setting.
Our colors were gold, red, a touch of blue, and lots of greenery to give that beautiful castle garden look. We chose more traditional ball gown dresses for the look of bride (or Belle!) with an off the shoulder dress and also another cuffed neck dress. Both were very elegant and romantic. We chose a very European fitted suit for the groom (or the Beast!) Instead of using a traditional floral boutonniere, we used a classical broach which brought the suit to a whole new level! The two toned vest/suit combination was also very dapper.
