Kaylee’s Beautiful Southern Bridal Portraits

By  |

Its fun to play dress up and get your bridal portraits done, everyone knows that. It is so much more fun spending the day with your lifelong best friend breaking the law, and having amazing adventures in your wedding dress. I can’t tell you how much I love the story that Kasie Tanner Photography tells about the day she captured her best friend Kaylee’s stylish southern bridal portraits. Check out this beautiful bride aand her friend and read all about their day of adventure below:

From Kasie Tanner Photography:

Savannah has its own way of wrapping you up in its southern charm. The moss delicately sways from the trees. Couples sit on their porch drinking Sneaky Tea as they wave “hellos” to strangers. It seems as though there’s always some kind of celebration here, whether it’s a regular Tuesday afternoon, a spontaneous drive down to the beach, or feeling the salty breeze while strolling down Forsyth Park. Everything turns into something beautiful. And southern hospitality was BORN here in Georgia!
Kaylee and I have been inseparable best friends since childhood. It was only fitting for us to take her bridal portraits at the most magical place we know. Our day started at Forrest Gump’s driveway at the old Wormsloe Plantation, and it ended when we ran out of light on the sand dunes on Tybee Island (we had one of those spontaneous drives). Her bridal portraits were nothing short of everything that she deserves.
Side Note: The actual plantation at the Wormsloe Historic Site is PRIVATE PROPERTY. Not just the “please, do not enter” kind of private, but the “KEEP OUT” kind. We were so giddy after getting a glimpse of the front porch from Miley Cyrus’s ‘The Last Song’, our eyes totally surpassed all of the signs yelling for us to keep out. It only took about four minutes for the owner’s Chihuahua to bust through the door after us. I never knew how fast a woman could run in her wedding gown until we had to haul tail to the car! She almost looked like the runaway bride! OOPSIES!!?
