The vibrant colors used in their wedding describes the relationship that Lance & Brittney share among each other. Brittney and Lance travel to the Cape to celebrate. So, it caught her by surprise when Lance proposed in July of 2011 at the Ocean House in Dennisport. “I was speechless! He just stared at me, waiting for an answer. Then all of a sudden it hit me that this was really happening and I said ‘yes, I will marry you!’ The entire restaurant was clapping,” Brittney recalled. Brittney wore a gown from Casablanca Bridal on her wedding day. “I knew it was the one because I didn’t want to take it off,” says Brittney. Before her father-daughter dance, she changed into her mother’s wedding gown, which she had altered to fit. It was a surprise for most of the guests (except for her mom). Planning their wedding was a family affair: “my step-dad referred us to the jeweler, (John Fleming), who has made my mother’s jewelry, as well as my engagement ring and now our wedding rings,” Brittney explained. Her family and bridesmaids also helped create wooden table numbers, stuff hotel welcome bags, sew flower girl dresses and print ceremony programs.

When it comes to the most unforgettable moment of the wedding day, neither one hesitated to say that they will always remember Brittney walking down the aisle. She was given away by her father and step-father, and Lance couldn’t believe how beautiful she looked. “I couldn’t ask for a better woman to spend the rest of my life with,” he exclaimed. Brittney advises brides-to-be that they should “take a moment (on your wedding day) and look around you – these are the people that mean the most to you and will be there for you for years to come.” Celebrate and enjoy every moment!
