Chaille and Scott tied the knot in front of a lavishly decorated greenhouse at the Heartwood Hall in Rossville, Tennessee. Christopher Duggan Photography captured every moment, big and small in a perfect way. Chaille opted for a lace accented ballgown and a cathedral length veil. The reception took place in a rustically decorated barn with white lights and wooden accents.
From Christopher Duggan Photography:
My wife’s cousin Chaille married Scott down South – my first time photographing a wedding in Tennessee. Chaille looked beautiful. The wedding venue, Heartwood Hall, was so unique. It’s in the National Historic Register, both the building and the grounds, because it was a hospital during the Civil War and Union soldiers camped there. There was beautiful light for pictures all day, and when the wedding ceremony started at 4:30pm, but two seconds before the bride came down the aisle, it started to rain. It was obviously too late to stop things and take it inside, we had to keep going forward. The flower girls had walked down the aisle, the bridal party… Everything was all set and ready. Chaille takes 4 steps down the aisle, and says: “Sorry it’s raining, y’all” and made us laugh. Chaille & Scott had a 90s country western cover band called The Mustache Band that handed out fake mustaches. They wore mullet wigs and cowboy hats, and everyone knew all the words to every song but me. My wife Nel’s 97 year-old Grandma had a mustache on. Another little boy covered his whole face in mustaches. It was hysterical. Thankful for a day filled with laughter, family and friends, and beautiful wedding pictures by Whitney Browne, my second photographer that weekend.
